Conceptual Alternatives Analysis

One of the hallmarks of Kestrel Horizons services is that we constantly seek to provide our clients with good choices and the ability to control results. We do that through possibility thinking, through innovation, and through unconventional thinking. We approach things in an inter-disciplinary way rather than a multi-disciplinary way.

We use a process called Performance-Based Decision Making and Design, which is based on the concepts of Value Engineering. We employ the process from diagnostics through design, construction, and operations. Alternatives analyses address technical, economic, regulatory/legal, and public/customer factors. Sensitivity analyses address economics and liability and risk exposures for variables such as regulatory requirements and exemptions or exclusions, risk-based media cleanup standards, levels of production, and potential catastrophic events.
