Our History

Since 1998, the Kestrel Horizons team has taken on remarkable challenges and has grown steadily, while holding true to our founding principle of maintaining a small, focused, nimble organization with clear vision.

On April 6, 1998, Bill Stephens and David Nichols opened the doors of Kestrel Management Services in Greenville, SC, in partnership with three long-time friends and associates located in Madison, Wisconsin.

In 2002, Kestrel Management Services-Southeast became Kestrel Horizons, LLC.

Since 2003, we’ve served as Trustee for the Pinewood Site Custodial Trust, which was established to accomplish the closure and post-closure care of the former Safety-Kleen commercial hazardous waste landfill and treatment facility near Pinewood, South Carolina.

In 2007, we opened the doors of Kestrel Horizons in Charleston.
